Eileen ~ Certified Family Coach, Parent Educator, Organization Development Consultant
Eileen began her career with a degree in Family Life Education working in a shelter for victims of family violence. Being an advocate for women and families has always been important to her, whether as a volunteer for the hotline for rape and domestic violence victims, or serving on the YWCA Board and chairing the Women of Achievement event. Eileen has also been a volunteer for a program helping new moms begin play groups for support with other new moms and their babies.
Teaching parent education classes over the years has been a great joy for Eileen and she has come to realize that many of the skills she teaches in organizations are the really the same skills she teaches in her parenting classes – listening, respect, feedback, appreciation, negotiating, understanding developmental stages – just to name a few!
Eileen bridged her career into business with a degree in Organization Development working in companies such as Rockwell, Westinghouse, and later as VP of Operations for Jenny Craig. Eileen knows first-hand the challenges of work-life balance. She is also a co-author of Visionary Women Inspiring the World; 12 Paths to Personal Power.
The mother of two children ages 18 and 21, Eileen’s greatest passion is in working with parents and children. Eileen has compassion for what it takes to be a parent and a child in today’s world. Her goal is to help parents be proactive in helping their children gain the skills they need to be successful as adults. Her work with families and businesses is rooted in teaching people to know their values, make conscious choices, and engage in meaningful conversations.
Steve ~ Certified Family Coach, Parent Educator, Marketing and Organization Development Consultant, Creative Writer
Steve considers his “lifework” being with Eileen doing family coaching, teaching, speaking, and producing parent education products for Turnaround Parenting. His greatest pride has always been raising his family and wanting to support other parents in the greatest job they’ll ever have.
His passion is bringing humor to the family and making learning together fun while developing deeper connections as a family through meaningful conversations. Steve is also writing a series of children’s books which initiate conversations with children while teaching values, communication and how to care for our planet.
“Creative genius” is how Steve is often described with his marketing ideas and creative writing. He is hired by other marketing firms for his strategic planning and creative development skills. He has done voice work and produced commercials through his own recording studio for over 20 years.
Steve writes articles and book reviews of prominent authors for magazines as well as news releases for political, medical, retail, and many other industries. He has also co-hosted San Diego radio business talk shows. Vitality Talk Radio, an Internet Podcast focused on topics of joy, health, and prosperity is a show Steve co-hosts with his wife Eileen.
